Recovery Companion
Life is hard for all of us. Proper support and community is vital for humans to be successful. Most people leaving treatment “feel” quite strong. They think they are ready to take on the world. Well, with the support, they are. They have been tucked away in the safety of the treatment center. They learned many tools for recovery, but those tools have yet to be used where it really counts. Rome wasn’t built in a day. A strong recovery from addiction is built over time with the experience of overcoming challenges in real-world settings.
The service of Recovery Companion, whether short-term of a couple of days or longer-term as a month or two is often the vital lifeline that keeps a person from needing to return to treatment. It is to help build their recovery into a strong foundation outside the safe bubble of treatment.
We pair you or your loved one with a recovery specialist who knows what it is like to start out. They know how to navigate the early pitfalls of relapse and smooths out the anxieties that come from the transition back into day-to-day life.
If we are to live, then we cannot shrink from life. We must foster strength to overcome any obstacle, not be naïve and hide in safety that avoids the inevitable obstacles life will throw at us.
